Mark Millar
Comic books have taken on a resurgence over the past few years, perhaps in no small part due to the talent of the Coatbridge born phenomenon, Mark Millar. The writer of the American industry’s biggest selling books in a decade, his career started by dropping out of university for stints at 2000AD, Warner Brothers and most recently Marvel Entertainment where he has been in charge of X-Men, Spider-Man and all their best known characters. His own creations too have been successful movie spin-offs including Wanted (with James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie) and the forthcoming Nicolas Cage feature Kick-Ass. Next up is Wanted 2, American Jesus and War Heroes for Sony Pictures. Mark will take questions from both fans and aspiring writers alike, and talk about writing, producing and his forthcoming directorial debut. Despite many offers to relocate, he will
be travelling to this event from his home in Glasgow.
