Glasgow Short Film Festival announces the winner of the inaugural Best International Short Film Award. After careful deliberation, the jury selected Edinburgh-based filmmaker Johanna Wagner for her documentary PETER IN RADIOLAND, citing Johanna's 'ability to approach a complex and personal subject with unusual honesty and compassion, and her formal innovation and experimentation with imagery.'
The award was accepted by Screen Academy Scotland's Karen O'Hare in Johanna's absence, at a short presentation on the closing night of Glasgow Short Film Festival. Johanna wins £500 courtesy of The Magic Lantern.
