GFF are delighted to recommend a select group of restaurants specifically chosen for their great service and good value.

The story goes that Afternoon Tea became popular around 1841, when Anna Maria Russell, 7th Duchess of Bedford requested that tea and cakes be served in the late afternoon to tide her over until her evening meal. As time passed the Duchess would invite friends to tea, creating the sociable event that we now know and love. Blythswood Square are delighted to now be able to invite you to enjoy Afternoon Tea in The Salon. Served daily between 12pm and 5pm, Cream Tea starts from £9.50 and Afternoon Tea from £20.00 per person. What better way to relax at the weekend than enjoying a Boozy Snoozy Sunday at Blythswood Square? Our Boozy Snoozy Sundays come at a set price of £80 for a table of four and include three courses (from our Market Menu), coffee and bottle of Prosecco. We are happy to quote for smaller or larger groups too. Served 12pm - 3pm and 6pm - 10pm every Sunday.

Two Fat Ladies City Centre is the more recently opened sister restaurant to the favourite old stalwart of the same name on Dumbarton Road in the West End. The original is so tiny it's cute, seating only 26 covers, and the City Centre version isn't much bigger, but in this it manages to capture much of the charm of its sister. It's small size makes for a friendly and informal atmosphere and the staff are always smiling and helpful. The menu is primarily seafood based and everything is cooked so perfectly and with such simple style that it should tempt even the most determined hater of seafood, but there are always delicious meaty alternatives for those who refuse to be converted. Must try dishes include the Two Fat's fish platter, which changes daily, (tempting you to return again and again), and scallops with Stornoway black pudding, which can be served as a starter or as a main course.
